🚨 Website Traffic Drop

This website lost around 80% of its traffic in October.

It all happened when the site was hit by Google's October 2023 Core Update.

☕ I had created this website for passive income in the coffee niche back in 2021.

📉 The traffic drop had a significant impact on the revenue my site was generating.

🧠 I planned to implement Koray Tugberk GUBUR's framework to test how it can help the website recover from this loss.

✍️ TL;DR of the process I followed (and still following):

• 🌴 Covering the prominent attributes of the entity "coffee" that were previously missing — building contextual bridges based on semantic distance and similarity to already-processed attributes in the topical map.
• 🌴 Filtering quality nodes and affected pages to sharpen the macro context by filtering attributes with prominence, relevance, and search demand.
  ➡️ Building up contextual borders to separate macro context from micro context.
• 🌴 Converting heading vectors into questions based on queries and contextual flow.
  ➡️ Structuring documents to build strong connections between questions and their subordinate text.
• 🌴 Following the truth ranges in micro-semantics — staying within safe limits and factoring in consensus while adding declarations at the document level.
• 🌴 Focusing on perspective richness by classifying target users into classes and aligning contextual flow in the article to cater to all key user classes.
  ➡️ For example, in my case, some articles have “barista” as a representative user class, while others target “newbies.”
• 🌴 Mentioning important research related to coffee in relevant articles to achieve a higher information gain score.
  📚 I use consensus.app to search for related research studies.

🔮 What are the results so far?

• ✅ The traffic has started to recover on the quality nodes where I implemented the framework.
• 📈 Interestingly, some of those pages have started receiving more clicks than before, surpassing their previous rankings (like the one shown in the image).
• 🛠️ I know it will take time to revamp the entire site — it has hundreds of posts to configure.
• But…
• 🧹 I’ll also be deleting posts that don’t contribute to building topical authority.
• 🧩 That decision will be based on:
  • My central entity
  • Source context
  • Central search intent
